RCB’s Romario Shepherd Steals the Show with Massive Sixes in IPL 2025 Practice Session
The excitement for IPL 2025 is building up, and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are leaving no stone unturned in their preparations. During a recent practice session, RCB organized a thrilling six-hitting competition as part of their “Unbox Event,” which left fans in awe.
The team divided their batting squad into two groups, with each player getting a maximum of three attempts to hit the longest six. West Indies’ Romario Shepherd emerged as the star of the event, smashing three massive sixes, one of which landed outside the stadium! Other players like Tim David, Liam Livingstone, and Jitesh Sharma also showcased their power-hitting skills, entertaining the crowd at Chinnaswamy Stadium.
RCB shared a video of the event, captioning it, “Finders keepers! Two white balls landed on MG Road and Cubbon Park. The boys showed no mercy in the six-hitting contest. Believe it when you see it!”
Shepherd, bought by RCB for his base price of ₹1.5 crore, has previously played for Mumbai Indians, Lucknow Super Giants, and Sunrisers Hyderabad. With his explosive batting and all-round skills, he is expected to be a key player for RCB this season.
RCB will kick off their IPL 2025 campaign against defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders on March 22 at Eden Gardens. With a new captain, Rajat Patidar, and a determined squad, RCB fans are hopeful that this could finally be their year to lift the IPL trophy. Stay tuned for more updates!
